How to View and Manage Elevated and Critical BP Triggers

The Triggers dashboard is as the best place in DIANA to review pertinent and timely information regarding your patients' elevated and critical blood pressure readings.

Below is an overview of how to view and utilize the information you see in the  Clinical Observations section of the Triggers dashboard.

1. In the left-hand menu of DIANA, click on "Triggers" (under "Dashboard").

This will take you to your Triggers dashboard where you'll see a list of recent BP triggers (under the "Clinical Observations" tab).

You'll notice BP triggers are color-coded:

A yellow outline indicates the BP reading is elevated.
A red outline indicates the BP reading is critical.

2. Filter by product

You can filter the list to look at BP triggers for certain products.

For example, if you want to look at all recent BP triggers for normotensive patients, you can toggle to the product "Normotensive BP Monitoring".

3. Click on a trigger to view more details

You can click on any trigger listed in the dashboard to view more patient details (such as gestational age, MRN, and phone number).

The detailed view will also show you the patient's last 10 BP readings (or the patient's last BP readings, if fewer than 10).

You can also view the call center log of the trigger being called in by Babyscripts' call center.

4. Take action with the patient as needed

The Triggers dashboard makes it easy to take action with patients and address triggers in real-time.

  • Call the patient: When viewing details for a specific trigger, you can see the patient's phone number. This makes it easy if you want to call the patient on the spot.
  • Send the patient an email: When viewing details for a specific trigger, you can send the patient an email by clicking the pink envelope icon. This will open a pop-up where you can compose your message and email the patient.

  • View the patient's DIANA profile: If you want to view further details on a patient's profile, you can click the person icon (next to the envelope). This will take you directly to the patient's DIANA profile.

5. Acknowledge triggers

To "acknowledge" a trigger means to mark that trigger as viewed (and addressed, if applicable). We made it easy to bulk acknowledge triggers, or acknowledge triggers on an individual basis.

  • To acknowledge a trigger, simply click the checkbox on the left-hand side associated with that trigger (you can select multiple triggers here!)
  • Once you've selected all of the triggers you've acknowledged, click "Acknowledged Selected".

Please note: acknowledging a trigger will remove that trigger from list.

You can then view acknowledged triggers by going to  "View" > "Acknowledged Triggers"
